What to Expect for Initial Appointment and Treatment
First, an evaluation is done through a process of interviewing, observational assessment, and neurodevelopmental activities. Next, an analysis is made of the integrated functions, processing, and coping mechanisms.
After completing the evaluation and analysis, an individualized program is created to address the specific areas of weakness. This program provides the client and family a clear understanding of neurodevelopmental and social issues, as well as the tools to help resolve them.
All treatment incorporates activities based on advanced research and techniques from many proven methods.
One method used is the HANDLE® program. It has been designed to gently stimulate and strengthen neurological functioning without causing the body’s systems to become stressed or to shut down. This consistent, gentle approach provides the greatest potential for lifelong change and enhanced learning.
